The final "D" version of he 137 desgn is an helicopter with external turboshaft engines. All internal space is devoted mainly to fuel and armament. Power shafts are crossed for single-engine safety. Another shaft (35% power) is derived to the rear propeller.
Power and lift are so balanced.
Vertical take-off and landing is possible.
