Why Pica? What is Pica? Pica is Latin for Magpie (In this case the bird took a shape of a woman), I took the birds colors and incorporated it into the subject. In European folklore the magpie is associated with many superstitions, giving it a reputation as an omen of ill fortune. This reputation comes from the bird's well-known tendency to "steal" shiny objects or its aggressive behaviour toward favoured songbirds, in my case she has we can see she has stolen a few hearts, Hence Pica's Hearts. One for sorrow Two for mirth Three for a funeral Four for a birth Five for heaven Six for hell Seven's the Devil his own self Model: ~AimeeStock Butteflies: `Shoofly-Stock Rest is mine and Painted. :icondonotuseplz::iconmyartplz: © 2006/2011 Madhoshi Art All My Work Is Copyrighted and my not be used without my permission |
