LOCATED in the center of Florence, the Duomo towers above a swarm of tourists and sketch artists vying to make a living. Initially working with a 18 by 24 canvas, I later realized that the structure was simply too gargantuan to be captured in such a small frame. The Duomo is actually this amazing and then more. Since 1511, it took 150 years to build this cathedral and 16 years for the dome. Impressive what they accomplished with no more motivation than their faith in God.
