Artist's Statement
This is the first in a series of drawings inspired by Goldfrapp's <i>Felt Mountain</i>. Track No. 1, <i>Lovely Head</i>.
Now, normally I find quoting song lyrics in descriptions rather naff, but since it is rather the point: <i> It starts in my belly Then up to my heart Into my mouth I can't keep it shut Do you recognize the smell Is that how you tell Us apart I fool myself To sleep and dream Nobody's there No-one but me So cool You're hardly there Why cant this be killing you Frankenstein would want your mind Your lovely head Your lovely head</i> If you haven't heard <i>Felt Mountain</i>, but like my art, you're really missing out. Although I made my first "crystaline" retro-futuristic drawings before I discovered Goldfrapp, it's an almost perfect stylistic counterpart to my work. I once considered animating the entire album, but then I calculated that would take me more than a year full-time, and would also be forever in the copyright mire. So I procrastinated for a while (okay, nearly two years) -- and finally decided to do drawings instead. I plan to do at least one a month. P.S. I know what this song is about, but I'm finding <i>Paper Bag</i> a bit inscrutable; so if anyone has an interpretation, I'd like to hear it. .......................... Illustrator CS |

Glossy Finish Photo Prints

Matte Finish Photo Prints
Printed on Kodak Edge paper, Matte Photo Prints have a smooth surface. Matte finishes have a lower-contrast and are often used to enhance the innate textures of Photo Prints.
Lustre Finish Photo Prints
Printed on Kodak Super Endura, Lustre-finished Prints are a premier paper offering. Lustre has a slight gloss with a subtle, matte texture. Lustre paper has deeper color-saturation and higher contrast than matte and can sometimes result in a darker image.
