In April of 2007 I went to Vegas. There was a storm approaching. From what I hear that doesn't happen very often in Vegas. The Sky was beautiful, and it seemed so huge. So much bigger than I had ever seen it before. I had spotted a parking garage behind the New York, New York hotel/casino. I seemed like the perfect place to get an unobstructed view of the mountains. When I found my way to the roof of the garage I realized I had found the perfect spot.

The rest of my trip to Vegas may, in time, become a hazy, neon blur... but I will always remember that rooftop view of a desert storm. It was a perfect, peaceful moment.
