I was going to have her say something in this pic but I couldn't think of anything cool. :(

I went with like a comic-y kind of texture. I'm not sure how I feel about it in retrospect. BG's eyes here are really exaggerated. I'm a little upset with myself that I didn't keep up with this on the next page. Consistency doesn't seem to be my thing, lol.

This original image is really big, I had to scan in in 8 portions. I have a tiny scanner. But I think the work paid off. I used markers and graphite for the colors, with some digital touch ups here and there. I have to say that I very much prefer hand coloring to digital. I get suuuuper bored flatting my pics out.

I'm very happy with the way this came out. I'll give myself a 90% on this one.
