The Sacred Marriage between the God and the Goddess...the male and female aspects of Nature. Traditionally the sacred union of the young,virile God and the Virgin Goddess takes place on May eve in the greenwood. They consumate their love and the firtility for the year ahead is assured,and the Goddess will 'give birth' to the fruit and the harvest of the land at Lammas.

The God is often represented with antlers or horns....not because they are a symbol of anything satanic or evil, but to show Man's connection with animals and to all of nature.
