Artist's Statement
My main mang Ewan took this for me while we were having lunch near Blossom Plaza in northwest Guangzhou around November 2, 2010 Beijing time. There was a 7-Eleven nearby, and I couldn't pass it up.
Remember that crack Obama made against Republicans, blaming them for getting the economy in a ditch, then accusing them of sitting around, "sipping on a Slurpee" while they tried to get it out? [link] Actually, the Republicans tried to not let the Dems bang up the economy any worse, they got shoved out into the mud, and finally they gave up, climbed up and got something to drink while the Dems completely trashed the ride moving it until it was totaled. Add that to his snobbishness, lack of empathy, and total disconnection to John Q. Merkin to make Obama's name completely toxic, and just not being a liberal Democrat gave this term's candidates a fighting chance, if not an instant win. Here's to you, Barry. The right couldn't have triumphed without you. :ahoy: 7-Eleven and Slurpee: (tm) Southland Corporation |
