<strong>The Vigilant</strong>

<em>
When no land was secure, this stone-made giants assured that the next day wouldn't be made of captivity and suffering. Strategically placed, these strongholds were the ones who held a country's name and honour during times of war.

Fortunately we are in times of peace, and it's amazing to step on the luxurious grass, and hear the wind while gazing such gorgeous castle. I can hear the church's bells far away, a child laughter near, and the sound of the sheeps right in front of me.

Yet... the sense of respect is omnipresent, and the scent of bravery still lives here... </em>


This is Castelo do Lindoso in the north of Portugal, on Serra do Gerês.
