Artist's Statement

Penmon Point Lighthouse on Anglesey, build in the 1830's the light house is now solar powered and is accompanied by a fog bell weighing 173kg which tolls every 30 seconds ... a very haunting mellow tone. Behind the lighthouse is Puffin island, which used to have a resident flock of puffins that nested there but they have been gone a long time.

Taken at 03:30 this morning about 90 minutes before sunrise.

The nights are getting very short the sun only set 6 hours before sunrise so it was pretty much light all night.
