Meditation
Contemplation Exhilaration all on a canvas... This is an allegory to the human mind's perception of what is real, and concept of infinity. At the time I was painting this I really felt nothing and within 45 minutes I had finished this painting completely. Even now when I look into her eyes it still defies my explanation as to what it truly represents, though. It's up to you as the viewer to find out... I used a general reference of a girl's face, changed it up, and added other things to it. Experimenting with a new technique in the application of acrylic paint. `johnpaulthornton is my painting inspiration. He is truly amazing. 5/26/2010 - Oh yes, and I've uploaded the un-cropped version. I think I liked this version better, but who knows, I may change it back to the older one again. |
