Artist's StatementThe annual world protests were held in chicago this year. Like 99 seattle riots, 2000 DC protests, 2001 Genoa where one died. It was quite peaceful due to the strong presence of the Chicago Police forming copwalls everywhere around the perimeter.
This shot shows them guarding the entrystairs down to the Chicago River by Pioneer Court on Michigan Ave in Chicago. I got down on the ground to shot this shot and the policeman asked me what i was doing. So I showed them the picture. They were pleased. |
