This is Cassie.
She's a gibbon ape that lives at our local zoo. Gibbon apes are native to southeast Asia and are considered endangered.

They have long, powerful arms, perfect for swinging like a gymnast from perch to perch. The mated pairs tend to stick together, and mark their territory by a series of loud calls that start out softly and slowly build to a boistrous crescendo.

Cassie's mate died a few years ago, but ever the performer, she sings on her own. Here she is enjoying her oranges and apples after an energetic bout of swinging.
