This piece was painted to the song "Cosmic Love" by Florence and the Machine. It is a beautiful song about (what I think to be) a woman who is blinded by unrequited love. So she gets lost in this darkness, and then she hears his heart beating in the darkness with her and she realises that he loves her too. It is a deeply moving song, and I highly recommend you listen to it while viewing this painting.
