Artist's Statement
"Finally, somewhere comfortable to sit."
Mahassive oil painting. About 6/7 ft tall, by whatever width goes with that. One of the final pieces for my A-Level portraiture project. Dunno how many hours, but wasn't very long. Is me and my friend Katie at Big Chill Festival. We found this old sofa in a field ~(hence the title), and this mask stall was infront of it. The two black spikes aren't part of it. They're just table legs that I couldnt be bothered to move. Was a bit iffy about this one. Whenever I have to work big I never like it as much. Came out really garish, but maybe thats a good thing, more like in your face. Doubt it comes off from such a small photo though. |
