There is an old legend about the stars. It's been passed down from generation to generation. Lumea, The Goddess of the Moon, rises in the sky every night, and gives birth to the stars. She passes them to her daughter Tere at twilight, who's job it is to spill them into the night sky. There is a star spun for every child to be born on the following day. Just before Dawn, her twin sister Mera comes along and scoops the stars from the sky to return them to her Mother. If an expectant mother stands under the stars while the star for her child is in the sky, Lumea will grant their babies a blessing of Wisdom and Grace. Babies who have received this gift will be born with a coat of silvery 'stardust' all over their bodies. they have been cursed to do this for eternity by Lumea's twin sister, The Goddess of the Sun, Salure. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm just kidding. I made that up to go with the pic. It seemed like it had a strong, ethereal story to go with it. It seemed like a scene, more than just a pic. I like my little story. ^^; The pic has been entered.
