Artist's Statement
I have a tiny little foldable table (designed for eating TV dinners I suppose
) that I move around my room as I hop from one computer to another, using it for my clipboard and/or Wacom tablet. When I'm making a traditional sketch, I typically use two sizes of mechanical pencils, one for making light thin lines and the other for heavier lines and shading. On the subject of shading, some people use a thing piece of paper or their bare finger. Though they do work well, even an experienced artist will have an occasional accidental smudge or fingerprint left behind, not to mention an unhealthy film of lead on one's hand. As for me, I prefer using tissue, it doesn't matter what kind so long as it's dry and easy to fold and wrap around the finger. Of course, my last tool is the iPod nano (2nd Generation)! Drawing wouldn't reach is maximum fun level without a constant stream of music.
