FAST PAINTING!!!

+ [ Informations ] : A fast painting I've painted in merely an hour at night. Actually it was a commission or - let's say - a half-commission ;) My aunt Kasia just said to me: Paint something green! But not an eye-beating green! So it is. Desaturated, subdued green abit as she wanted. The entire thing appeared in my head. Anyway it's not my favourite color palette (I prefer fiery joyful colors) but I could try this as well, uh? ;p

+ [ Description ] : in Norse mythology - the goddess Eir of AEsir - the goddess of healing, primal medicine and herb-craft, also the Seidr-kone, capable of resurection, summoning and soulkeeping. Eir lived in Lyfjaberg (the hill of healing) as one of nine maidens ( compare: Svipdagsmal, 52-54 [in] Poetic Edda ). Eir is also mentioned in other sources, for example: in Snorri Sturluson's Eddas especially in Gylfaginning (part 35) and in kennings. Sometimes she is considered a hypostasis of Frigg or giantess Menglod.

Lyfjaberg is it, and long shall it be
A joy to the sick and the sore;
For well shall grow each woman who climbs it,
Though sick full long she has lain.

Now answer me, Fjolsvith, the question I ask,
For now the truth would I know:
What maidens are they that at Menglod's knees
Are sitting so gladly together?

Hlif is one named, Hlifthrasa another,
Thjothvara call they the third;
Bjort and Bleik, Blith and Frith,
Eir and Aurbotha.

Svipdagsmal, Poetic Edda

+ [ Details ] : This art was entirely painted in Painter IX. There's no photo-reference and no photomanipulation. I also used my own custom Painter brushes I created by myself - nothing better than this! Don't have to use brush stocks, I'm self-sufficient ;p

+ [ Software ] : Corel Painter IX

+ [ Time taken ] : About 1 hour of a rush painting.

+ [ Notes ] : No photomanip. No stocks.

+ [ Techniques ] : Airbrushing, acrylic, pens.

+ [ Thanks to ] : Kasia - my aunt.

+ [ Important note ] : I'm not going to fix any portion of this art. This art is a complete and finished piece and I'm not intend to correct or change anything. This case is closed. It's not a photo so I'm awake to see all my errors which I've made during painting. Errors are the part of learning process, of developing so it all must stay as it is. If I wanted to paint with a perfect reference I'd rather take a photo. So if you like it - fave it, if not... well... I'll be painting anyway ;p
