The cherry was attached to a white Styrofoam piece with a sewing needle. The contraption was then submerged in a vase filled with seltzer water. The Styrofoam was a bit larger than the vase widthwise so that it would create greater tension and wouldn't float. A top from an old Fossil watch box was used as the background. The dark background caused glass scratches and imperfections to show. Increased contrast to make the scratches more visible. Color balance for a vintage-ish feel.
