Another "Storm Boy" reference with the title - a film made not too far away in the Coorong in 1976 [link] . A boy had 3 pelicans - Mr Proud, Mr Ponder, and the extra special, Mr Percival.

One of our characteristic pelicans at Kingscote. They are fed by a local every day at 5pm, which makes for a wonderful photo op. He buys fish from the local fisherman, all out of his own pocket, to feed them every day of the year.
