Dangerous Waters by ~cenoslave

*edit* This is I think my best painting, but I let myself be really lazy on a couple parts, namely the kid in the boat, and the horrible clouds. It's been bothering me for a while, and I rarely come back to stuff I've already done, but I could never live with myself if I didn't fix it. I actually took my time on the kid, and you can tell it's a kid now and not an old man or something, and found a good cloud tutorial and learned how to paint clouds finally! Also, for the fish's dangly thing, the idea was for it to look like the moon, and only one person on here noticed it, which made it obvious to me that it *didn't* look like the moon. So I fixed that. I admit it isn't as contrasty now that the clouds were toned down, but I prefer it to the cartoony cotton candy clouds. And yes, the water's surface still looks a bit cartoony, but I do like it for some reason. Anyway, lemme know what you guys think! Something I started a couple of months ago and just now got around to finishing. And yes, the kid looks like crap; that's what you get when you can't find a good reference and you don't know how to paint people :P
Anyway, I've spent far too many hours on it as it is, and I'm sick of working on it. I did enjoy it though. It was the first time I really tried to paint a background, and doing an underwater scene was definetly an obstacle for me! Anyway, lemme know what you think!
