World Cycle

This piece is an examination of the cycle of life. Looking at the "Hindi Trinity" of Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver, and Shiva the destroyer (or one that breaks things down) and comparing it to different stages of life, I examined a world of the gods, where they shape the portions of our destiny.

Brahma's job is to create, from the materials available, new life or bringing about rebirth. Vishnu preserves and maintains balance. This also entails, from time to time, being incarnated in human form to bring evil back in check, such as with Rama and Krishna. Shiva breaks things back into their elements once again to be reused. Think of a world where nothing decayed; eventually death would pile up around us and raw materials would not be available to make more things. Shiva's job is important. He is also viewed as the one that dissolves our delusions and allows us to find the real truth.

In life we see these cycles over and over. I wanted to create something that showed at least a small portion of this story.
