Artist's Statement
The West African Snub Nosed Dragon... also known as the Spade tail. They are a relatively small dragon being around the size of a pick up truck. It is classed as a flightless dragon but it can glide small distances to catch its prey.
Its a distant cousin to the American Lock-jaw Dragon, and like its cousin it bites its prey and holds it tight until it gives up from exhaustion. When mating the males (who have large horns growing from their chin) battle for the females, hitting each other with their large tails and clashing their chin horns. They mainly live alone and can often be seen sunning themselves on large rocks. Hope you like it :) |
