...Cinderella's happy for just a moment, because she thinks Prince Charming has found her and they'll live happily ever after.
End of the story. Book closed. But it's not really the end of their story, it's just the parts nobody wants to know about. What if Prince Charming and Cinderella didn't get along anymore, but already three weeks after the marriage? Or what if she loves him dearly, but he comes home at night, smelling like another girl's perfume. And then she can either fight him about it. Or swallow it down...maybe with a glass of wine...And so forth. Etc. There are plenty of ways the fairy tale could end in the sweet-bitter regularity of normal life. And that is why fairy tales END when Princess and Prince Charming are just starting their joined life together.... But Cinderella isn't feeling anything grim in this picture right now: She's just happy, with her head up in clouds, dreaming of how wonderful her life beside her long awaited Prince Charming will be! It's the innocene at/before every beginning! I hope somebody else feels like me about this! <3 xo -kay |
