Artist's Statement

Right, I'm making a "Naruto Hidden Village" for fun.

The village is called "Morigakure no Sato (Village Hidden In The Forest)" in a country named "Hikari no Kuni (Light Country (No other Jap words....OTL))".

The ninjas live differently unlike the other ones, they live and dress (a bit) like Europeans, and they are divided into three groups: Knight, Traveler and Thief/Bandit.

What about the ninja teams?
In one team, there are 4 ninjas of the same gender. 1 Sensei, 3 Genins (in the beginning) from 3 different groups (Knight, Thief, Traveler).

Bandits/Thieves

Background: After the important event of the country (In which the ruler could make the 3 groups live together in peace), these people are still despised and not really liked for their past deeds and personality, especially by the knights.

Overall personality:

-Cheeky
-Would cheat if they feel like it
-Extremely rude (Even the girls use "ore". And they're not just verbally rude)
-A bit annoying
-Likes to tease
-Hates rules
-Does not believe in pride nor honor

Their personality is pirate-ish. No, not those phony pirates (Will, Jack) from POTC. REAL ones who torture prisoners like hell, use strange slang, etc.

Some of the thieves are treacherous and could hog all the goods any chance given, but some are caring subordinates to the point they'd risk a life.
Thieves think like:

"Urgh.
People. Knights.
They just see based on the past and just point and point and point at us "bad people", repeatedly acting as if to yell at us, "You thief! Outlaw! GTFO!" and just won't get that not all of us are bad! Sure, we know our ancestors were wrong, but we are not them! And not all knights are "heroes" either."

Appearance:

The "rugged look" type or the "Robin Hood"-ish type.
Not really stylish. Just look at Rikku out of FFX. It's a bit like that, but less exposing and simpler and more "Naruto-ish".

Knights

Background: Even long before the important event of the country (In which the ruler could make the 3 groups live together in peace), these people are highly respected, even the lowest ones. Even a big douche of a knight would be treated as a superior. Their rules are not really humane since the rules "sees" people as pawns.

Overall personality:

-Cocky
-Would never ever cheat.
-Extremely strict (Imagine Kakashi in his Gaiden before Obito saved him)
-Plain and a bit boring
-Chivalrous, loves justice (Azai anyone?)
-Obeys rules like crazy
-Believes strongly in pride AND honor
-The complete opposite of the bandits

Their personality is of course, just like those European knights. They'd challenge a worthy enemy to a duel instead of ganging up on them; even a battle royale between 2 groups with the same number of members is not honorable for these peeps.

Knights are a bit complicated since there are ranks for these, and some special ones:

Standard Ranks:

Private (Genin)
Sergeant (Chunin)
Mayor (Jounin)

Special Ranks:

Berserker: Meant for a really powerful knight who is intellectually mediocre, or mentally unstable. Some of the berserkers’ fighting abilities could even surpass that of a Great Knight, but then again, the strongest is not the best.

Great Knight: A knight who excels greatly in strategy, fighting ability, and virtue (Or discipline and strictness). There are only 3.

Chaotic Knight: Knights who despise some ways of the knight, but are too good to be exiled. These people are similar to Robin Hood, and they are usually willing to break the rules for the greater good, e.g interrupting a duel when a superior is about to be killed mid-duel or saving a life meant for a decoy.

Legend: People so skilled, they could wear an armor gear or wield a weapon that was once owned by a legendary warrior from the past. They are hailed. A lot.

Armor troops: Troops with a certain helmet and lots more armor. They are to berserk through enemy ranks.

Appearance:

The "knight + Naruto" look. 70 % knight, 20 % Naruto.
Could be real stylish. I have some designs, I'll post them soon.
Compulsory items: A little armor (Even shin guards count. And I mean a tiny bit. It's Naruto, even if there's Temujin in the 2nd movie...) and a sash.

Travelers

Background: These people used to travel a lot, but when they saw the Light Country, they wanted to stay. When they stayed just for a while, thieves bully them, and the knights (Especially the chaotic ones) help them to ward off the thieves. Soon after, peace was disturbed, but the ruler eventually got the hang of it and restored peace once again. Because of the event, thieves are despised, while knights are honored from time to time. The travelers get to stay, and they don’t travel anymore, but the nick “Travelers” stuck.

Overall personality:

-Could get along with people
-Easy to fool (If it’s about myths and monsters and beliefs)
-Caring
-Gentle
-Old-fashioned
-Doesn’t mind rules
-Does not really care in pride nor honor, but believes in dignity.
-Decisive, and hard-headed

These people used to travel, and when they stay in one place, they stayed for about 1-2 weeks, and so they could hardly absorb foreign culture, so they hold on to their beliefs very tightly. Imagine the Na’vi with fewer obsessions with nature.

They attack with “elemental fists”, attacks that resemble the Hyuuga’s “Gentle Fists”, but it’s just chakra enveloping the hands. And the elements of the chakra depends on which element is the user.

Appearance:

The FF tribe-ish look/Atelier Iris tribe-ish look/Viking look + Naruto.

FKAKKKKKKKK AAAARGH
I'VE BEEN TRYING TO SUBMIT THIS THING FOR HOURS AND FINALLY I COULD :ICONFUCKYEAHPLZ:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH

So here's info on Soyogi:

Personality:

-Cocky to the extreme
-Would never ever cheat.
-Oblivious
-Plain and a bit boring
-Does not really give a living crap about the "Way Of The Knight (Obeying rules, being chivalrous etc)", but obeys it anyway.
-Believes strongly in pride, but not really a believer in honor.
-Despises the bandits/thieves and acts as if they're not worth a darn.
