My site: <strong>2D Forever</strong>

I found myself drawing in biro for the first time in a while today - I forget how strangely <em>liberating</em> it is. The messiness of the medium allows you go really free-hand without caring of the quality that the ink leaves.

From these ink drawings I found myself drawing figures similar to an older piece and this idea was born. Rather than large hair floating freely, I went down the opposite route, almost like hair-bondage.

This piece could of easily been quite sinister, but the subtlety of her smile makes it all a bit more friendly, and maybe a bit amusing. Hell, maybe I'm just easily amused by watching people create moustaches with long hair...

This was surprisingly quick to do. From my sketched concept the final image here seemed to come so quickly and naturally. I wish all pictures were like that!
