Xerxes the Great

this is my last weekend's graphite project. dark... bad... "little" mischief and yes, he is my new portrait's victim, a persian King Xerxes from "300" movie. he is a beautiful man, isn't he?

King Xerxes is portrayed by Brazilian actor Rodrigo Santoro as a giant, androgynous megalomaniac with multiple piercings and makeup. based on the Frank Miller graphic novel, retells the story of the 480 B.C. Battle of Thermopylae, where the the advancing armies of the Persian Empire battled the Spartans.
in the film, Xerxes makes a point of displaying his generosity, with a large part of his discourse emphasizing that he is "kind".
