Things I have learnedI learned a lot of things on my trip. I have to say, things have been getting better and better for me the more I have stepped out of my comfort zone.More Like This
Its been hard. Tough and not what i've expected. I've burned bridges, exacted my revenge, but in the mean while.. Created a new environment for not only myself but for others. I learned how leadership works.. I've learned how to work with others. I learned how to put my faith in others.
Before I was very independent..for myself all for myself.. But thats because of how the world created me. I learned.. though I can rely on others. I can put my trust. In you guys, my taum squad.. my gf.
When i was younger. I didn't see much of a future, I believed I was a big messup, that the world around me did not want someone like me. I was a very depressed young child with kind of family situations/friend situations that nearly took my life.
I got a huge scar on my left arm from the wrist up to the middle of my arm from an atte

there will always be someone better. dont think that your art is worse, or not good enough.
in time you will improve, you wont improve by giving up. its okay to look up to people, its okay to take small amounts of inspiration from people, its not okay to blatantly copy their art. its okay to try new things, dont be afraid to.
dont reply to nice comments with something like "no its not good, thank you though", it will make people not want to comment. just thank them, and accept the praise. i used to reply to comments that were like "oh this looks good!" with "no it doesnt but thank you", and trust me, its not a good way to go around things
dont comment things like "i will never be good enough at art " "why is your art so good and mine is bad" on peoples work. they dont know how to reply most of the time, and its just?? dont do it yo
if you want to criticize someones work, ask them before you do it. be kind about it if you, dont say "OH
Closed SpeciesDecided to make a new journal since the other journal got a bit out of hand xDMore Like This
I have always been very insecure in presenting a new species I've made to deviantart
( believe it or not, since I have quite alot of them haha)
The reason is, I've been into so much drama a few years back beause I kept copying other designs (usually without even noticing)
Of course, this never stopped. I get influenced by designs, patterns and species of other artists all the time, sometimes a bit too much.
The difference between before and now, is that I feel more comfortable showing my new designs and species, why?
Because there are so many similar species out there and it is very hard to create something that is original.
For example, there are species that is very popular and still dont get any drama etc.
Similar like Coukyos and Weavers
They look almost the same, and that got me thinking
As long as you dont take the traits on a species (or all of them) There shouldnt be a problem.
Toxic people/relationshipsThis is going to be a HUGE journal, but I feel like doing it,ok?More Like This
I've seen many people being involved with toxic people recently, suffering a LOT and they seemed to not be able to get away from them, neither see what they got involved with!
Maybe doing this journal as a warning from others they can escape of it. It's up to you if you want to read it or not.
Got information from a couple of sites tho.
>>So What’s a Toxic Person Really?
It’s not that the whole person is toxic. Rather, their behavior is toxic or your relationship with the person is toxic,.
“Often the person is deeply wounded and for whatever reason, they are not yet able to take responsibility for their wounding, their feelings, their needs and their subsequent problems in life.”
They may overidentify and act out the parts of who they are, such as the victim, bully, perfectionist or martyr, she said. “They act fro
So you wanna make an adoptable speciesDisclaimer: Everything written here is opinion. I get a lot of people asking for advice, for critique, and I just want a post I can easily link to.More Like This
There is no "right way" to make a species. There are TONS of variables that might affect your success (in sales). Nothing here should be taken literally. It's only my opinion & personal methods!
Not in it for Money
I DO NOT recommend people make an OS for the specific reason that they want to make money.
It's fine to want a little bit of spending money or something in the mindset of a little side-project. But if you go into this market with the expectation of making a living & supporting yourself off of this?
You're very likely to be disappointed, cause yourself unnecessary stress, and possibly make yourself feel like a failure, when you absolutely are not.

a little note on species makerslisten, i realize some species makers can be real jerks sometimes, and some have rules that seem really ridiculous to follow. But im literally saying this now, if a species creator makes you feel extremely uncomfortable for a ludicrous reason, or you don't agree with their rules, then stay away from them, simple as that.More Like This
now im going to get onto the topic of being a species maker, i feel as if that as soon as you get relatively popular with making a species, people feel the need to shit on you because of it, and i don't find that cool at all. Being a species maker is a stressful job, you have to monitor as many characters as you can on a daily basis to ensure that your product is where it should be, to prevent scammers from stealing or ripping others off. You have to be on alert to make sure that others aren't stealing your idea's and using them for their own profit. You need to keep people in check to make sure that everyone is following your rules and regulations. You need to make a
Important update about widgets. From today I will no longer be using devaintARTs commission widgets, why? Because they will assume you are cashing out without you even doing so. Their system does not care about the truth, if you pay people with points, and they pay you later through a commission widget this will happen.More Like This
I have been in talk with helpdesk about this since they thought I was cashing out points (giving others points for free so they can give them back to me through a widget to get money for it)
And all I got was The system is designed to automatically flag suspicious transactions transferring points in this manner is not allowed. It is one of the many reasons we do recommend that all commissions be made through the use of the widget and not simply at a personal level. I had evidence if needed and they did not even care.
They also refund the points used if this happens to you ( even if they told me they would I have not gotten any taken that I know of yet) Which means, i
Thought of the day."Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."More Like This
