Hello my awesome SoCal friends! I have some very exciting news for you all. Saddleback College's Psychology & Psi Beta Club is hosting its annual Mental Health Awareness Week from November 26th-29th. In case you are unaware, Saddleback College is a community college located in Mission Viejo, Orange County, California. We have some extremely special events and speakers including names you may recognize (besides myself) such as Jonah Mowry (gay bullied youth victim who was first noticed on youtube through his famous flashcard "Whats goin on.." video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdkNn3Ei-Lg ), Anna & Victoria Mendez (founders of the Cool 2 Be Kind Club http://cool2bekind.org ), and Tanya Brown (sister of Nicole Brown Simpson, from the OJ Simpson murder trial). Here's a full list of the events going on that week with links each's Facebook event page:

september's symphony.my clothes fall at my feet as the blood runs from my nose across my chin and down my exposed chest. steam fills the air i breathe, and the water i step into burns my skin. the bathroom is unnaturally white, and i can still taste vomit in my mouth as i hug my legs to my chest, letting the blood fall over them and slowly paint the water i sit in red. black makeup runs down my cheeks from red eyes, and knotted dark hair falls over my face.More Like This
his voice rings over and over in my head; his violent alcohol induced rage forming a lump in the back of my throat and making my heart ache more than my burning skin. ugly, slut, failure, pathetic. words that sound all too familiar, spat in his strange, alien voice.
every muscle in my body tensed and eyes closed tight, i imagine that i can't feel anything but the stinging of the steaming water. i imagine there is no world beyond the slowly reddening water i sit in, and that if i stay here long enough, i'll forget what's real and what's not. i imagine th
R.I.P.Did anyone notice that she winced if you raised your arm?More Like This
Did anyone notice that her eyes were wide with alarm?
Did anyone notice that she never looked you in the eye?
Did anyone notice that her voice was but a sigh?
Did anyone notice that her skin was always bruised?
Did anyone question whether she might be abused?
Did anyone question why she walked in obvious fear?
Did anyone question why one day she did not appear?
Did anyone recognize her face on the six-o’clock news?
Did anyone see her remains pulled from the river refuse?
Did anyone care that this quiet girl no longer exists?
No. No one did. And she will never even be missed.

In his sisters' cruel hands.
And to his daddy's hollow head.
One loved her daddy,
And her mommy too.
But loving them gets harder,
When they don't love you.
And they don't care who you fuck with,
And don't care who fucks you.
Of one the story is unknown,
No one knows,
If he'll ever tell.
And one just has so many,
It's become a literal hell.
A genius, a brilliant boy,
Covered in a bloody alloy.
One of them cared,
For her family.
But those she looked up to most,
Thought she would make a perfect toy,
And used it until it broke.
Some murderers, some violent.
All loving alcohol and drugs.
Some criminals, some dealing.
Some beating up others,
For their monthly bucks.
Some call us deranged,
Some call us insane.
Most of us refuse to whine.
It's no excuse,
But I think all of us,
