After more than three years, 300,000 views and 28,000 downloads on deviantART only, it was about time to try a remake of The Rise of a Planet. Somehow this image talked and talks to people. You can find it all around the internet. Regardning all these things, I am feeling even more bad because I don't like it at all.
But I wanted to give it another try. I failed several times by creating a second version but now, I think, I created something that's comparable to the message and the feeling of the original. I also thought about replacing the old one, but there have been a lot of people telling me, to upload it as an own version. Here we go.

All icons in .png 256x256 and .ico 16x16> 128x128.
---------- How to use:
For .ico - put icon to any folder, right click on desktop shortcut > properties > change icon > browse..
For .png use Objectdock - in C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock create any folder, put icons to this folder, put your desktop shortcut to objectdock, rightclick on this shortcut: "Dock Entry Properties..." -> "Change image" > "Browse..." and find icon.
Here a dock icon I made for RocketDock as an icon for a stacked docklet. I saw one similar to this but it wasn't really like the real suite icons. Well, unlike that one, this one has transparent text. Hope you like it.
I had fun with this one! After wanting to do a space art with two color where a planet has two light sources, I finally decided to do it and this is how it came out! Also I finally started adding this "signature" with the title and credits in a more professional way and decided to add a border.
Full view is better! The full size feels a bit like the planet doesn't blend well though. I don't know why. But I had fun with it, especially with the starfield and choosing the colors!
Yeap no big cities this time
I was thinking about doing some space art again and ended up with this. A lot of fun, stuff like that makes me really relax. As i saw this image [link] , i just had to do something with it. I basically took the image as a base and started painting. Definately more Paint then Photo here, so it's not going to the Photomanip Gallery. Greg Martin was a big inspiration, visiting his website again after a long time made we want to do space art
Original width 5800px , detail shots are coming. Please don't critique about realism, this is pure Sci-Fi/Fantasy. All other input is much welcome.
I am still in love with sunsets. The scene should speak for itself and there is no deeper meaning behind it (beside the desire for a warm summer-evening). This time again only widescreen wallpaper. All other can crop the image as they need it I hope you like it!
I created this from a hi-res screenshot released by Paramount for Star Trek fans. It's the same as the original, just gave it a little more vibrance and a slightly better contrast The following resolutions are in the package:
i had a day off yesterday so i put in some work to finish this one at last. originally intended for www.experiencetheplanets.com but after some discussion, it was decided that there were better ways to explore the subject (which was the moonrise as viewd from an earth viewpoint).
so i deleted the moon and made it a personal artwork. i also explored the depths of my old harddrive yesterday and found a few unfinished pictures. i don't think i will be able to make a complete piece very soon, but there may be one or two, near to completion anyway. i think the reason why i always have nearly finished pictures lying around is cause i don't feel comfortable submitting something i'm not all together happy with.
i have however been doing some more photography since i got myself a tripod and even though my equipment could still be better i gotten some acceptable fotos that will follow here when i feel they are ready for submission. other than that it's been design and layout all the way. studying and working at the same time is a massive time steeler but i'm enjoying it.
I hope you enjoy this one, cause i don't know when i will be able to submit more space related work. i put a lot of work into it!
Just playing around in the wonderful world of color spectrum. I Found this pic [link] and went with it. About 2 hours and 53 Layers later...we have this. Used the new Alien Skin Bokeh filter [link] on this one...Fairly nice filter for the price as im not a big fan of filters.
Find the Regular Screen Resolutions here -> [link]
Zip includes HDTV/WideScreen High Resolution 300 dpi 1920x1200 1920x1080 1280x800
EDIT: Print has been added as I had a few request for it. This is my first print submission. I have adjusted the image so it looks and fits better as a print. Available in 5x5-10x10 sizes.
Another desktop, already!!
More realistic as requested
No extra planetary objects, just the stars, moon and sun
Added a bit of blur, some color correction to really make the greens and blues "pop", and a few extra filters. Hope ya all like it!
