Old Man Solly was never "into" anything, really. Well, except war, killing people and being angry. That being said, he was never much into music other than the stuff he'd grown up listening to. His music was classic stuff, and genres like rock and jazz were pretty out there for him, even now. So you can imagine what happened when he found a couple of records in Scout's room that he'd managed to smuggle to the base from Boston.
He whipped out the gramophone in his room and gave it a wind, placing the record on it and placing the pin against it. He then proceeded to grab the case the record the record came in, eyeing the hastily scribbled nonsense on the otherwise blank cover. It appeared to be signed to Scout from a friend.
