I'm very surprised about the outcome, but I really like it. It's a very dark wallpaper and nevertheless I hope you like it. Special thanks to ^gucken and ~Mark-S, you both really helped me. I think you should have enough space for your desktop-icons .

hi guys! A brand new work and it took a while but I made it slowly and it was finished earlier but I was busy to upload it ... The textures by me that I used some Nasa textures to make Ok, hope you like it
...and so they started to worship their bright new God, he was brighter than before and his overwhelming power literally filled the sky...
...it lasted for about 4 minutes and then they were wiped out of the existence... ...along with another 3-4 systems that had been close and unfortunate enough to get caught in the blast...
DeviantArt is still working on the resize problem (better than nothing I guess), so you'll have to download the pack OR use some other means to see this preview in its full size (e.g. right mouse button + view image in Firefox).

Here is my real first attempt on multi display wallpaper (please, be gentle) and i try to please everyone by adding the sides as a single wallpaper aswell (so for the ones with only one display, you can still get it!)
I have wanted to do a multi display based wallpaper for a long time now. But due to some technical problems and lack of scenery ideas, i have put this idea on hold for a long time.
Ladies and Gentlemen.... I proudly present my victim This was some hard thing to do. It's the best that is possible for me now. I ever wanted to creat a dual screen wallpaper. And here it is. Broken planet in the middle of the screens was my intention to get a better blending from one to the other screen.
Story behind it? The pic speaks for itself. If you have a problem with realism: I don't care I wanted it the way it is. The biggest problem was the huge planet on the left. Why? Because of the filesize

Now, you might think: "Hey wait a second.. I've seen this piece somewhere else before!" And this is where you are only half right!
This piece is a remake of one of my old pieces called: Starlit Night
I was quite sad about me not having a bigger size of Starlit Night for print purposes all these years. That is why I have decided to renew this piece. Also this piece has a personal meaning to me as an artist. This piece is painted and boosted with some textures from sxc.hu.
p.s.: Don't mind the cat (reference used for the cat)!

The liquid methane oceans of the planet have been lit up and the planet is starting to burn! A lonely space station is left orbitting the planet forced to watch the destruction of a planet that once bloomed with beauty.. What once was is no more.
This is my first collab ever! I'm very pleased the way this turned out and it was nice working with ! She provided me an excellent piece ([link]) that I was eager to work on!

I am very proud of this piece, overall it took me 20 hours to complete and all of it is painted besides the two terrestrial planets and the asteroids (the gas giant was painted). I created this for Inner-Space's "Silence" contest and I'm hoping it is good enough to win!
EDIT: AHA! IT WAS GOOD ENOUGH TO WIN! I GOT 1ST PLACE ^_^ -> [link]
The name of the piece is Silentium Altum, which means Deep Silence in Latin.
Resources: Wacom Intuos 4 Tablet Photoshop Elements + CS4
Time: 20 hours
Thank you's go out to arisechicken117 (Kevin Lafin) and my art teacher, Mr. Nelson. I appreciate the help with this.
I will be uploading a video of this and a much higher resolution later when I have time.
EDIT: OH WOW A DD!!! Thank you so much casperium!! And thank you all who have left a comment/favorited it, I'd try to go to each of your profiles, but I think I'd have a hard time with that Thanks again!

Took me roughly 16 hours of hard work on this, with at least a 3d of the time waiting for my slow computer to load an action, Textures took me about 8 hours at least.
For textures I used Visible Earth Nasa pictures [link] , basically distorted + combining them to create something very different as well as some brush work and some rock textures I photographed.
Here is the texture I made, linking it so you can use it as well. [link]
If use for commercial related must contact the artist.
Story ____________________________________________ Parent Star, K7 type
the bright star on your right is the far off binary star which is an upper mass red dwarf. This scene is a family picture of a few moons within the Sunatta Moon System. The main planet which is a gas giant is not in this picture. You are hovering just a few hundred kilometers above one of the moons, Uloria, overlooking at her partner, Kinia, and her other siblings, both moons are gravitationally locked to each other while they orbit Sunatta. There is another pair of moons which do orbit each other while revolving around Sunatta. Click on this Link. [link]
