NOTE: This short story I write in tribute to Batman, returning to his home in Gotham City. I know it doesn't match up with DC or DCAU canon, but it's not meant for that. Flames or other such comments will be promptly trolled into oblivion, for the lulz. This is a short-story tribute to my friend Eric, and a testament to our faith and trust in each other.
Nightwing stood on top of the building. A strangely silent Blüdhaven was underneath him. For the past 2 weeks or so, Batman had been in town, helping him bring those who would commit crimes to justice. It was almost funny, since he had at one time been Robin, but when he came of age proving his skills, and retired his mantle of Robin, and took the mantle of Nightwing on his shoulders.
Gazing into the clearing night, as the storm clouds parted, he thinks back to his first meeting with Batman, a shattered and broken
