"Erik, we have a chance to be the better men." "We already are!"
After seeing X-Men: First Class (INTENSE BROMANCE I SHIP IT) and Inglourious Basterds (loved it) recently... I'm completely and totally in love with Michael Fassbender and his incredibly handsome face and shark teeth. Drawn in Adobe Photoshop with a Wacom tablet. Referenced this photo: 25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lo4… Done in about two hours.
This will be the front cover to "Silbhe's journey" (El viaje de Silbhe), the upcoming novel from spanish writer Miguel Molines, that will hit the shelves very soon.
Lot of fun with this piece as Miguel gave me some freedom to design Silbhe´s outfit so I could experiment with the materials a bit. I´ve uploaded the whole illustration and the titles here, for whom may be interested.
This is a biro drawing that took me bloody ages but the end result was worth it. Unfortunately it didn't scan very clearly so i will try and update it with a crisper image when i get round to it. Probably my second favourite biro drawing so far (after the one i did of the Knight). Its from a D&D manual of Deities & Demigods (many thanks to 9fires for finding its origins) that i did in an art class for practicing biro darwing.
Some preconcept 'set pieces' that went hand in hand with a flurry of designs Had lots of creative freedom at this point, and I went with a modular weapon/shield for the marines in this piece. It can have components swapped out in/on a large robust carrier frame.
Visually, conventional arms proportions felt small to me on the battlesuits at the time.
Ok, so i just really had the most fun painting the 'death from above' nutcase at the far right You can tell he's having fun too. He's not even paying attention to his officer leading the charge!
