Why do I think its special?
It has a lovely charm about it, its very warm and cute and feels very textured. It certainly does what the artist intended in the form of being art for a book. It hits the quirks and personality book art tends to have, as well as having lovely charming texture and features that carry it along.
Why I like it?
I see some obvious flaws, especially in the characters but that doesn't take away from the immense amount of time and detail this image has. Let alone the fact that the perspective is nicely done. As an avid hater of perspective, its a good skill to have and is always beneficial to artists!
