Eventually I want to get back into 3D sculpting again, and it's my fantasy to make my own personal (like, for me only) line of Chrono Trigger figures (hey, that rhymed!), so out of giddiness I sketched a Marle figure as to how I would want her to look a couple of months back. Might be a project to start on once I get more free time after I'm done with Cryamore.
Popping my head in here to let you guys know that I'm still around! On our final stretch for Cryamore so I've been pretty occupied, but I do get a rare chance to do a lil' sumfin'. I'm mostly active on Twitter these days, so you can find me there if you're on there. Hopefully I can get back full force here soon.
Was inspired by 's stuff like to try my hand at literally speedpainting off of a loose, rough sketch and picking colors. Came out pretty okay, but man does going off of no lineart feels weird as~ But I do dig the turnout a bit!
And yes, Morrigan tends to be my guinea pig for experimenting.
TOOLS: SketchbookPro6/Cintiq24HD(PhotoshopCS6 for minor touch ups)
Felt like coloring a piece completely in again. It's definitely more time-consuming because of the limited tools in comparison to PS, but it's definitely worth the results. I really love this organic look.
Here's the process gif of this image:
Also, Roxy doesn't get enough love.
ALSO, first one to shout "It's a trap!" is a rotten egg! On second thought… anyone who shouts that is a rotten egg.
I haven’t done a full-composition fanart piece in a while. Figured I’d hack away at this bit by bit until completion between work breaks. I'll update this as I go along finishing each stage~!
I only watched the series recently, and I instantly became a fan, practically overnight. The anime's ending was weaksauce so I'm all up in the manga now. I rarely do that; only when something really resonates with me from a storytelling standpoint. And the art by Yagi is so much love.
I’ve been MIA for a little while, just made a big move and got started at my first real studio job. I’m still in the process of getting things set-up, but here’s a little fanart of Tron Bonne so everyone knows I’m not dead. Hopefully I’ll get back up to speed again real soon.
