Abortion Survivor Halvorson Shares Her Life Story
[...] Courtney knows it is a miracle she survived, and she has taken on a mission of sharing her story with others. She recently was the guest speaker at the New York state Right To Life Committee’s 2013 convention in Oneonta, N.Y.
She spoke to a group of about 230 strangers. That, she said, is easier than telling her story to those she knows.
Courtney said she has spoken at James Memorial Baptist Church, where she knows many of the people. She is Catholic, however, and said she has not had the courage to share her story at her church, St. James Catholic Church.
“It is much easier to talk to strangers,” she says.
Who Said It: Pope Benedict Or Pope FrancisTake the quiz here: http://www.buzzfeed.com/ellievhall/who-said-it-pope-benedict-or-pope-francisMore Like This
Are you done? How well did you score? Eh, it doesn't matter. The reason I'm showing you this is because of how the media has portrayed the two popes. Pope Benedict (the "conservative" pope) was lambasted by the media and was made to look like an evil vampiric nazi (or Darth Sidious*) in a papal disguise while Pope Francis (the "liberal" pope) has been hailed by the liberal media as a champion of social justice, twisting the words of both popes to fit their agenda like there's no tomorrow. Little do they know that the two popes said exactly the same things, but used different wording.
*I'm not really offended by this. It just means that the Pope's critics are jealous that our guy has force powers and carries a lightsaber while Dawkins bitterly writes books about how his low midi-chlorian count is the fault of God.
