Savage Beast--More Like This
I wish to soothe the savage beast, the wild and untamed,
The one whose heartbeat gives life to my dry and dying veins;
I'm a crumbling structure, no less and no more;
And you are just the lifeline I'm choosing to ignore.
Stringing myself along the uncertain rope of death;
Feeling calm within as I take a gasping breath.
I feel my soul shuddering, attempting to come free;
Of the monster Mother loved and nurtured into...me.
Hearing myself crying as I sink down into the depth.
I wish to soothe the savage beast, the one who calls your name;
The one whose presence I feel, always stirring in my brain.
He breathes through my lungs and his blood swims with mine -
I am just the cage in which he is confined.
I am a vessel of Satan's most treasured masterpiece;
One day I will succumb, and become...the beast.
All emotions and memories, at once passing through,
Till my vision tunnels, then collapses, leaving only you;
Converting to reality every lie I ever told,
Feeling my blood chill the moment
