Soo, here's my attempt on the DC competition!

Edit: Characters from left to right Robin, Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel, Haley Quinn (New Earth), Harley Quinn (Prime Earth) and Batman
All are from Batman series/comics

About the mirrors around our little jester, I just wanted to depict a bit of her story, showing who she was, and who she eventually becomes. The rest
hopefully speaks a story for itself :)

Wanted to try my hand at the new Scribblenauts contest DA launched, especially since it's open worldwide!

So here's one of DC's most powerful magicians, Zatanna!
She quite often 'hides in plain sight', disguising her magic as just simple tricks and illusions to the average person, and her costume over the years has always been a sexy stage outfit, complete with wand and top hat.

First appearing in a Hawkman Comic back in 1964, she has since appeared in numerous titles across the DC universe, including, but not limited to Batman/Detective, Justice League, Green Lantern, and The Books of Magic. She took part in the Identity Crisis and Infinite Crisis series, and had her own four part comic simply named Zatanna as part of the Seven Soldiers of Victory event.
She's also made appearances in the animated series of Justice League and Batman, and has had a few videogame appearances too.
~Info via Wikipedia~

It was really an interesting style to try out, and I'm pleased I gave it a shot, because it was a lot of fun too ~

Everyone loves Elsa, but we can't forget her idealistic, adorkable younger sister. Seeing as how my only other piece with Anna involves her stuffing her face full of chocolate, I think she deserves a more flattering depiction :)

The style was heavily inspired by Sakimichan's Elsa piece, seen here: sakimichan.deviantart.com/art/…

She's A-mazing, and while her art is lightyears beyond what I can do, I still learned a lot in studying some of her techniques.

So. This is pretty much what I do during classes. :P

Haha, inspired by all these new superhero movies. I was originally just going to do the DC super-trio, but... Wonder Woman and Batman didn't want to cooperate with each other, so I stuck Captain America in there for good measure. xD

I was kind of bored, so not exactly the prettiest, or most ornate thing... But... :D I had fun with it.

Ha sorry it took forever for me to do any kind of drawing but I have a lot of other things going on in my life.  Anyway, I can state how much I love love LOVE the Flash TV show which is by far, my favorite comic-based show of all time.  To top it off, Barry's rogues gallery is my 2nd favorite (after Bats of course) so I wanted to do this piece which is a homage to Ty Templeton's cover...

www.hyperborea.org/flash/image…

-- which in turn was a homage to Carmine Infantino's cover:

www.hyperborea.org/flash/image…

Some notes:

- Yes, I realize Weather Wizard's "wand" actually does something entirely different, but I wanted to include it as an identifier.. as well as having it correspond with the original cover.
- I included Golden Glider instead of Boomer because it didn't feel right to exclude her since she's the 3rd Rogue show-wise.  Plus, Boomerang isn't exactly Barry's exclusive foe currently. (Although Lisa's gun is a little corny -- sorry guys)
- Captain Cold is like on my top 10 favorite villains.  Love his portrayal on the show.
- went with James Jesse Trickster vs. Axel Walker Trickster because duh -- Mark Hammil!
- Tried to make the logo look like the logo CW is using.

That is all.

so  about a very frequently asked question... how do is do the expressions...

well, on one side it has been a long arduous process of understanding things that happen under the skin  , the way muscles work to wrinkle and fold it...

but ultimately it comes down to this.. reason why i can now do them... and i say now because  this was not the case about 2 years ago...

is that it clicked and i started thinking like an animator while  retaining the realism whenever and wherever possible.

so now, expressions, gesticulation and momentum of motion are my focus to master. :)

I'll try to make Disney/Pixar characters in young and stylish concepts, some kind of "students", something like the new Pixar's Movie: Monster University.

Archeology student, Flynn Rider is always looking for hidden treasures and rare artifacts (like a modern Indiana Jones)
He does parkour whenever possible (climb a tower is really tiring)
He loves Rapunzel but they have some problems when they are near a Horse (or a Pan XD)

Hope you like it!

Simba is back after some copyright issues (I CANT understand ... )
Simba is a fan of Harry Potter (he has a tattoo that confirms it XD) if there Hogwarts, he would like to be in Gryffindor
He is studying philosophy and educational sciences. Simba is very responsible, kind, funny and sometimes a bit lazy (Hakuna matata!)

Hope you like it!
