In a middle summer's day, wrapped in the sultry heat of July, the city of Danville was resting quietly under the sun rays. Its residents, in the breezy of the air-conditioning, were benefitting of the summer holidays' idleness: some of them were taking a nap on the sofa, some were relaxing in front of the TV, lazily watching the afternoon's talk shows, others were pursuing their hobbies. Each of them was absorbed in his very own paradise, and nothing in the world could have disturbed that quiet gained after months of work or study.
Everybody was tranquil... except one.
With his fedora fixed on his head, walking with silent step and wary, Perry the platypus was ready to come into action. He was able to get away like a thief in the night from the sight of his two young owners and, promptly, he slipped inside of one of the many secret passages hidden in his habitation, rushing stealthily in the secret base, where he was convened regularly by Major Monogram, to stop Doctor Doofenshmirtz's

When Monogram's face appeared on the screen, Perry was prepared for anything out of the ordinary. Anything, that is, except for what he saw.
Monogram was hanging upside down from the rafters, while Carl was frantically running back and forth. Monogram finally noticed Perry. "Oh, Agent P! You're probably wondering why I'm hanging from the ceiling."
Perry gave him a look that said well duh! so Monogram cleared his throat and continued sheepishly. "Well, what happened was that Carl, here, somehow managed to glue my shoes to the ceiling while I was napping."
At the mention of his name Carl stopped running and started stuttering out an explanation. Rather than let Perry hear the story, Monogram said, "By the way, Doofenshmirtz is probably up to something, so you should put a stop to it."

"Eh… I just wanted to apologize again for the whole ‘explosion’ thing. I thought that the metal shield canisters would just, ya know, protect us from the blast. They- they weren’t supposed to melt a bit and… Well… Trap us." Dr. Doofenshmirtz drummed his fingers on the floor. "Don’t you normally have, like, a blow torch or something that could get us out? It’s getting late and I’m really craving the Doonkelberry pie I have in the fridge."
