When I first was asked to shoot with Brittany, I saw this picture in my mind. It was only there for a second. Easy to dismiss. In the past, I have not always valued listening to that voice. But this time, I did. It required less effort that I would have thought. Just sort of a surrender, and intention. I am learning that by listening to that voice, I create, say, and do things that are much more real and true. There is more genuine love in my interactions, and the art speaks much more deeply to me. It is worth risking learning how to listen and act, and to be willing to give yourself the freedom to make mistakes without judgement.
