From the Obama rally in Madison, WI yesterday. Nearly 20,000 people attended, a record number for the Kohl Center in which the rally was held.

Take a good look, there's a strong chance you're looking at the next president of the United States.

Barack Obama has himself some quality speeches. The only thing that could make them better is if the very words of his speeches gained the power of a chameleon and formed into a portrait of his face.

Mission accomplished.

This portrait of Barack Obama contains the entirety of his 2008 Democratic Presidential Nomination Acceptance Speech... in his face!

Made for the PA for Change campaign 2008.

:target: Warning! Full view is large... very large.

It all started three years ago on deviantART. [link]

A project to bring the federal budget to the people that pay for it.

Gaining momentum on deviantART [link] and then blossoming worldwide, Death and Taxes: 2008 is culmination of months of work and years of refinement.

It is the 2008 Federal discretionary budget of the United States. is a representational poster of the federal discretionary budget; the amount of money that is spent at the discretion of your elected representatives in Congress. Basically, your federal income taxes. The data is from the President's budget request for 2008. It will be debated, amended, and approved by Congress by October 1st to begin the fiscal year.

The poster provides a uniquely revealing look at our national priorities, that fluctuate yearly, according to the wishes of the President, the power of Congress, and the will of the people. If you pay taxes, then you have paid for a small part of everything in the poster.

So now you know what you've paid for, the next question to ask, is why?

:target: Spread the word! This is a poster of your near future!

In my life, I'm going to start a revolution against unwarranted negativity.
Judging is a big thing for me. I've lost good friendships because I let it control me. Now I see those friends follow that same path and it breaks my heart.
I want to challenge people. I want to save them heartache down the road. But it's like that guy from survivingtheworld.net said, nobody really wants to be Batman, because he sacrifices himself and his reputation to make the world a better place. No one is selfless enough to do that. But we can try.

WHITE BACKGROUND: [link]

CLARIFICATION: I am not condemning rants or anger! I am a strong advocate for standing up for oneself, or those who cannot for themselves, etc. This is a rant itself. I keep a diary, and think that ranting is actually healthy. It helps you organize your thoughts so that you can stand firmer on what you believe. It releases stress, and is totally better than punching someone in the face. What I've found to be true, however, is that I feel so much better if I wait a while to post that rant. I'm no longer blinded by my anger, using it then constructively (because it's not bad to be angry!) or more eloquently. I really wish I could have gone into deeper things with this, but I couldn't if I wanted to hold people's attention. The hate and negativity I am attacking is the pointless "I'm going to blame anything but myself" kind. I'm a girl who celebrates the French Revolution every year, I think it's safe to say I support getting angry.
Sorry for the confusion. I didn't think more than ten people would see this.

DISCLAIMER: tl;dr, I'm a hypocritical bitch myself.

I am well aware of the irony and utter hypocrisy in this piece, believe me! It's a rant, yes, but I hoped to put a positive and constructive spin on it by making it a call to action. I wrote this because, first and foremost, I am angry at myself. I am royal screw up when it comes to this subject, so posting this doesn't make me a hero. It gives me less of an excuse to mess up. But I firmly believe that just because the messenger shoots himself in the foot doesn't mean the message itself is faulty. We can still rise above this.

Thanks, everyone. If this inspires you, please share! If not, thanks for coming by anyway. If it makes you angry--well, good! We ultimately need people like you to point out the idiots and hypocrites in society, otherwise, we would not grow. And through all my faults, that's my goal.
Edited some words for clarity, hope that's kosher. c:

My view on abortion, my friend brought up the subject, and it inspired me to draw this.

I got some of the idea from America's Next Top Model. lol xD;; In one of their photoshoots, they did political issues, and a girl had this written on her stomach.

I used [link] as a slight ref. I changed the position a bit though.

Pro-choice all the way!

For those who don't already know, this is a spoof of the Obama/Change/Progress campaign by Shep Fairey.

It's also a sans-text version of my previous piece.

Every president has a phrase, title, etc. assigned to him by pop culture. Whether it be "Adulterer," "Peanut Farmer," or "Crook."

This is just my take on it.

(BTW, this image was taken off the web. I wouldn't want to be accused of plagiarism...;))

_____i miss you..
"if only you could see, just how much this is killing me, maybe you would be kind not cruel and see just how you've been treating me. if i pray then maybe one day it will be okay and you and me will be just as happy as we always intended to be..."

All words and text in this piece were written by my own hand (thought you could probably tell cause it's so crap!)
This is what really happened between my best friend and I. It's not the full story, I'm not quite ready to divulge that much information yet.
I miss her, Christmas time sucks without her :cries:
i don't think she would feel the same way though, she seems to be having a tremendous time fucking with my emotions!

Basically, I haven't submitted anything in a while, and I was looking around in the political section when I realised that almost all of the deviations are always about war. War, america, guns, crime etc. Now although these are serious problems, very serious problems, there are other very serious problems in the world that need our attention too. The hole in the ozone layer, global warming, world poverty etc. It seems that blood is the only way to get a message across anymore... its as if war is more "glamourous" for the political section.

I mean, I know a movie based on an overpopulation crisis wouldn't be so exciting... but things like that, they're still major issues, and ones we can't put as second priorities just because they can't be solved without bullets... well maybe in some peoples opinions it could : P

I assume everyone here has views on most political subjects that arent to do with violence. Dont be afraid to express them.

Really Simple.
"1984" quote that sums up my feelings on the recent election.
If you say it enough times, it becomes truth.

"The consciousness of being at war, and therefore in danger, makes the handing-over of all power to a small caste seem the natural, unavoidable condition of survival."

Can't tell you what this was for or how it came to be, but I do know that the layout was scrapped and won't be brought back. This was made back in March and has been sitting in a pile of dusty dust since.

I really am sorry, but my work has been getting stolen so much, I am forced to reduce the size and watermark it. I can't take these chances anymore.

I am gonna find out if I can sell it. Sit tight. ^_^
