The Hidden Shutterbug II
So here it is!
The next installment of the The Hidden Shutterbug. As some of you might have noticed I've founded a little group that hopefully will one day help feature great photographers on deviant art. If any of you would like to check it out, I'm looking for some co-founders to help get it off the ground as work for me in the high season is entirely too hectic.
 The Hidden Shutterbug Group
Anyway without further a do, on with the show!
Polian
The first thing you need to know is that Alex is an artist first. You can see that in the varied work in his gallery of which I highly recommend you check out. Alex's Photography focuses on abstract texture and shape, and although I'm hoping Alex will put up more, the gallery of his photographic work is small but impressive non the less.
Below are some of his fine photographic works although please visit his page and check out all of his work and furth

2 years dA
Hi folks,
2 years already! Time passed really fast. But all in all
it was a great time and so far I am enjoying being here
on dA. Lots of great artists and captures everyday, especially
for abstract and surreal photography - something I miss on
platforms such as 500px.
Here are some things of the last months that made me happy:
- archatlas featured my series "A Little Composition". Without my knowledge,
but with a linkage to my site :D. I especially like
it because they show a broad diversity of architecture.
http://archatlas.tumblr.com/post/54012164919
- I reached 1000 Watchers! Well, watchers are not the best indicator
for quality, but I am glad there are people out there who enjoy my stream
Here are some of my recent favorites:

Art Psychology
Art psychology
The psychology of art is an interdisciplinary field that studies
the perception, cognition and characteristics of art and its production.
Art is considered to be a subjective field, in which one composes and views artwork in unique ways that reflect ones experience, knowledge, preference and emotions. As the piece of art progresses during the creative process, so does the artist. Both grow and change to aquire new meaning. The "aesthetic attitude" is important in viewing art because it allows one to consider an object with ready interest to see what it suggests. However, art does not evoke an aesthetic experience unless the viewer is willing and open to it.
Cognitive psychologists use the terms "bottom-up" and "top-down" when processing art. "Bottom-up" refers to stimulus processed by the visual system into colours, shapes, patterns etc. "Top-down" refers to conceptual knowledge and past experience of the particular individual. Bottom-up factors include abstract vs figur

Elephant Speaks
I knew that I could dance - I knew.
The animals that can are few.
It's parrots, people, and then me.
What is it that we share, we three?

Old blue dog

I have an old blue dog, as big as he can be.
He eats way too much but he keeps me company.
I call him Jim and he always calls me sir.
I don't make him do that but it's what he prefers.
He sharpens his claws on the oak tree in the yard.
His claws are nice and sharp but the tree is kind of scarred.
If I sit at the piano he gives me a sideways glance.
But when I play boogie-woogie, he always starts to dance.
He goes to town on Tuesday after I help him groom,
comes home again on Wednesday smelling like perfume.
One time he fought that orange cat that lives a mile away.
But then they licked each other and they are friends today.
He saved a lot of people that time the sky fell down.
They gave him a nice medal but he doesn't wear it now.
One thing he never learned to do is play the violin.

Waiting for My Rider Blues
Well, I'm waiting for my rider,
I hope she gets back soon.
We really should be leaving
if we are going to reach the moon.
My rider is a sweet one
and she likes to navigate.
But we got to get a move on
or we are going to be late.
She went into the city
to buy us bread and wine.
If she got lost inside the market,
getting out could take some time.
There may have been bad weather,
and she was caught by a storm.
Just as soon as she gets back here,
we will both be safe and warm.
She may have met a crowd of people
who were watching a parade.
She may be waiting till it passes,
and they move a barricade.
She may have heard some people singing
and gone to see what song she heard.
She may have stayed to sing soprano -
you know she sings just like a bird.
She may have had to show her papers
to a security man.
They don't make you that much safer -
they stop you because they can.
You know I will be waiting,
however long it may be.
She

Gap
At one end of the restaurant table it is the year 2012
and C. has just returned from a trip around the world,
to Brazil and Egypt and South Africa, India
and Thailand and New Zealand. At the other
end of the table it is 1945 and M. is in a jeep
beside a highway in Germany as 27 Sherman tanks
roar by at sixty miles an hour. I sit in the middle
and perform the spell that keeps the tanks from
crushing the table and my grilled flatbread
and my India Pale Ale and my wife's tomato
soup and grilled cheese sandwich and all of us
who are here beneath their treads. I can do that
with ease, yet spectacular sparks arc across
the voltage drop between now and long ago.
The voltage is high but the amperage low -
the sparks seldom harm but oh, what a show.

Tell us a little about the art styles that you use:
I develop different kind of works, I do concept, classical illustration and portraits for commissions but my personal works flows between fantasy and dark surrealism. I'm opened to many things it's hard for me to find a personal line of work or a personal style, maybe my personal strokes would define my style.
Why did you choose these art styles:
It's how when you are hungry and you open the fridge, you know exactly what your stomach wants to taste. I develop "my styles" because it's what feeds my hunger.

#3 - That One Moment
Well I have to say, I feel like I am going to blow up of stress. Final exams are near and when ever there is a test or exam, it is like the world is coming to an end. It is not that I haven't study or haven't gotten ready, it is just the pressure of my life, I feel like my life and future depends on it (whish is true) but AAAAHHH!! I need more food to calm me down. ;p

Please Read + Life updates
Some things I want to voice out about my characters AND Sonic Official characters ( including Archie Comics)My characters have nothing involve with Sonic Official characters at all, nor is the story even related.
Also, I don't like shipping my characters with Sonic, Shadow, Silver , basically all Of'em. I feel uncomfortable having my characters pairing with'em. Of course I don't mind drawing people's characters with the Officials.Another thing I want to get this clear. My characters are living in a entire different world or universe from Sonic's universe. Basically my story is nothing relating to Sonic, no G.U.N nor Egghead or stuff.
Also, if i'm drawing my characters naked or anything , please don't mention saying that it has to do something with the Official Characters, literally i'm not so updated in this kinds of things. So don't get so detailed with me because as much as i'm a fan of Sonic, i'm not updated in their games nor comics.I draw because of the fun of it. I don't even wan

my opinion on fan couples with other people
am i going to be notorious for being the one posting controversial stuff?
Before i talk about it first of all I'm merely just stating my opinion, and i respect your opinion too if you guys disagree. I don't mean to offend anyone, I just want to share my opinion.
Alright now that we got all that out of the way.
Recently on dA i've noticed things. Besides the obvious loads of fan characters, there's also fan couples. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like there's been a lot recently. Well on dA people love making fan couples with their fan characters, like two people each have a character and make them a couple and draw them and rp them. And there's nothing wrong with that. Trust me I have been there too, couple years back. I thought it was fun and all, where I get to put my fictional character with someone else's fictional characters and etc.
But then I realized it creates a lot of issues. It creates a lot of drama. And yea I've been there too as well and trust me, things got ugly. Lot's o

PE: Memes
[deviantART related]
The word "meme" was coined by Richard Dawkins in his 1976 book The Selfish Gene, as an attempt to explain the way cultural information spreads Source: Wikipedia
A meme is a "thing" (let's call it thing until we have really know what it is) that spreads itself from person to person. Originally it was related to cultural phenomena, but these days we also have the internet memes.
These are pictures, videos, captions, hashtags and anything else that is meant to be forwarded, so that a lot of people are going to see them. Everything that is trendy, that does represent a certain generation does fit to be a meme. May it be that famous number '42', certain phrases used in movies, the grumpy cat, Nicolas Cage... - the list would be endless.
While doing a bit of research someone compared it with a flu. One starts with it and everyone else will get affected. But in a good way!
For deviantART these are usually art

Art History: Celtic Art In Early History

Celtic Art - A Look In History
Written by KovoWolf for projecteducate
There is something so unique and so humbling about Celtic art that we can immediately recognize it when we see it, though it is difficult to truly describe as a single 'medium'. With intricate designs, swirls, and beautiful knotwork however Celtic art is also a medium that you can recognize when you see it. Because Celtic art covers a huge expanse of time, geography and throughout various cultures, it can present some difficulty when trying to term or define what Celtic art truly is.
Celtic art and culture date back as far as the 8th century B.C generally refers to the culture of the European Iron Age from around 1000 BC onwards, until the conquest by the Roman Empire. The Early Medieval art of Britain and Ireland, which produced the Book Of Kells and other masterpieces that are well known today and can be associated with "ce

Hi, everyone! As promised, here is my celebratory 200+ watchers feature. For those new to the party, as a thank-you to my followers, I asked them to thumbshare a piece with me that either meant a lot to them or that they wish had more exposure. Once I reached my goal of twenty responses, I put all of this together and hither we sit. Winter Feature of GrimGloomTale [2015]
And here it is... the fourth year of GGT is rolling. It passed in no time, I must say, might be some hidden time machine - probably would work well in the current contest (4 days left!). I've spent a half of the day picking works from the folders that were submitted since November. And even despite the fact that - as usual - I included only art that has below 100 favourites, it was hard to pick so few. So, you know, there is a lot of very under-appreciated, beautiful stuff in our gallery. I'm only hinting here.
Have a wonderful year.

Who are some of your favorite Poets on dA?
I've only met with one deviant (offline)
and they happen to be
one of my favorite writers here
it's a very interesting thing....
to see someone in their true flesh and bones

it's really an awesome thing
to get past the internet barrier of anonymity
to see and know
that there are others
out there fishing, just like us

and what is the probability
that we'd end up doing that

Supporting Mental Health Online
The Issue
You see a post from someone you only know online, or don't know at all, that sounds like this person is in distress. The most common is, of course, "I want to kill myself," but it could range anywhere from being overburdened with school to having trouble dealing with grief to, well, anything.
The following steps are some general guidelines for when you're not really sure what to do. Of course, if it's someone you know, use your better judgement. These are by no means rules to live by.
1. You come first
It may sound a bit callous, but watching your own mental health is important. If you're in a bad place, do you think you will have the bandwidth to help someone else? You don't want to end up like Jack in this scene from '30 Rock.'
Remember that someone who is struggling with their mental health may not have the capacity to approach the problem rationally. (How many completely avo

Psych Wards and Progressions
I picked up my guitar for the first time in months (years?) today. The last time I played it I was teaching myself to play the solo for Achilles Last Stand by Led Zeppelin. But, that's not the case now, as I found myself struggling at first to remember how to play my favorite chord progression, but with some quick searching I found the chords I was trying to hit and I... I just love playing the three chord progression of the outro to this song. I can't handle the solo it transforms into, not even when I was practicing guitar heavily, but I find playing the chord progression at the end very soothing. For any guitar players out there that are curious, here's the tabs:
    G     D#    C
e|--10-----6-----3----|
B|---8-----4-----1----|
G|---0-----0-----0----|
D|---9-----5-----2----|
A|---x-----x-----x----|
E|--10-----6-----3----|
C is played for two bars making it four bars musically. The tempo and phrasing of the chords is pretty distinctive to the song, just

Hello December ^^
Hello everyone :aww:
I know it's been so long since my last entry, I'm so sorry but I've been through some tough time!
Fortunately it wasn't a health problem, and luckily, my family supported me, especially mom
Beside school projects, I've been through a major depression :( I was so down, I started to lose hope I'll ever get back up!
I don't really like to open myself to people, but just to give you an idea...I thought I might loose the one person I truly called best friend! We didn't actually fight or anything, but we talked about a problem between us, and, because I'm a paranoid, it took me a while to understand the situation!
I'm getting better now, and I've got my faith back, but it sure was like a huge rock on my heart!
Aaaanyway...Holidays are near, and we need to make peace with ourselves and others, and love each other!
So I made another selection of lovely artworks from my recent favorites! I hope you'll enjoy!

General Photography DDs - November 2015
:iconcommunityrelations: Welcome!
This month the general photography CVs - Kaz-D, Mrs-Durden and myself - set a total of 83 DDs! Insanity! :pringles: Many thanks to everyone who's suggested to us, and as always we need more suggestions so don't be shy! Our guidelines are linked at the bottom of this article, and we tend to get a lot more People and Portraits suggestions than anything else so bonus points if you send us great pieces from the "weird" galleries. Self-suggestions are always welcome if you have a piece of your own that you think we should see!
Yesterday was Kaz-D's last day on the team, so be sure to drop by her journal This is where I leave you and give her some extra love for her five-plus years of hard work - and 2340 DDS she set over that time! Thanks for everything Kaz-D!
