The pattern was woven through your psych. You’ve done it a million times. Breathe. You lifted your head to peek above the water, taking a quick breath before you put it down again to remain streamline. Push. You hands swiftly moved through the water, propelling you forward. Kick. As you hands reached your hips, your feet whipped down in a powerful kick, moving you forward enough to skate your hands over the surface of the water as you began the cycle once more. You were like a flame when you swam; flashy, warm and inviting for all to watch.
The water was a balm against your overheated body. You loved how it cooled you while allowing you to feel graceful. You weren’t graceful on land, often stumbling over nothing and running into walls. The painted stripe helped you estimate how far away from the wall you were, so that you would never swim into it. You were in your element.
Breathe. Push. Kick.
With that final kick you

'Come on! It’s just water! Water can’t hurt you . . . . . Except drown you!!'
“Yeek! I can’t do this!” The girl shrieked, jumping away from the pool’s edge. (y/n) is a second-year student in high school, her (h/c) hair shone in the spring sun, her (e/c) eyes, although beautiful, held fear in them at the moment as she looked at the pool that had recently been built by the new swim club members.
“This is ridiculous, I can’t even get close to it without freaking out . . . . “
(y/n) had a fear of water. It all started when she was young, she took swimming lessons and loved it once she was in the water. But one day, while she was practicing a stroke, she didn’t focus and hit the wall of the pool with her head, almost knocking her out and making her body unresponsive for a few moments, but those few moments felt like an eternity for someone underwater. She remembered looking up to the surface that held the oxygen that she so needed

You felt the light hit your silky face as you opened your eyes. As you blinked a few times, you noticed a head full of mahogany hair that set itself on your shoulder. You didn't realize it, but you had been sleeping on your side and Rin was facing you. You slept on the left side of the bed where the window faced you. Rin gradually opened his eyes to see you sitting up with your messy bed head and a bright smile. He stretched himself out and sat up too. He placed one hand beneath your shoulder and embraced you.
"Good morning, '____________'. Did you sleep well?" Rin kissed your cheek as you sat there in his embrace.
"I slept very well. Thank you and good morning to you too!" You flashed him another big smile as the sun shined its bright rays on your hair.
Soon Amakata came in and opened the door. She was already dressed and ready to go.
"Morning, '___________'! I'm glad to see you're up!" &

It took a few minutes, more like an hour, to get Rin out of the bathroom and to get him to calm down. Miho would randomly keep walking out of her room to see if you two were still at each other. When you got him out, you grabbed his hand and took him into your room. You made him stand there as you pushed the separate beds together. Rin blushed when he saw you bend over to try and push them together. You turned around and looked down. You jumped on top of the bed and just laid there as you shook in shame. He climbed on with you and removed his shirt. Soon, a muscular arm wrapped itself in front of you and held you closer. Rin hoisted himself up and kissed your cheek.
"Good night, '____________'." He whispered softly into your ear.
"Good night, Rin...." You felt your eye lids drop as he held you close.
Back at the beach, Nagisa and Haruka slept in one tent and Makoto and Rei slept in the other. Na

“It… was a week or so ago… I was swimming one day in the pool…” Haru started, if not a bit hesitantly. “I was the only one there…”
“Only one there?” you questioned, cutting Haru off.
“It was after swim practice, and Haru was the last one to get out of the pool, like
always,” Gou spoke for Haru, explaining more than he would. “I think it was the day you were waiting for me…? I believe we left before this happened…”
“You… did… I was swimming free in the pool…” Haru spoke softly, half mumbling it. His mouth was very close to the water surface – bubbles formed where his breath met the pool surface.
“Wait, free? Free, as in freestyle, or free, as in freedom?” You questioned, a bit confused about the context the term was being used in.
“Freestyle,” came a voice behind you. “Haru mostly means freestyle, but he also means fre
