But people fail to see his tormenting terrors.
Son of a man, Son of a Mortal. Son of the one whose life is at stake.
The shadow that haunts him, the nightmare that taunts him, the reminder that his father’s retreating back, may have been the last he sees of him. He is seized up by fright. His demons following him, drowning him in a storm, of naggings, ‘What-ifs’ and ‘Whys’.
Oh, how much longer will he have to endure this hellish cycle?
Son of a hero, son of a mortal. Whatever you call him, remember his suffering, for it is a slow sword that pierces him to his soul.
