He sits in his cell
and he lays on his bed
covers his head
and closes his eyes.
He sees a smoking gun
and the coward, he ran
while in his arms is the bleeding
love of his life.
And she cried,
"Maka..." Soul spoke softly, curling inward on himself. He was sitting on the bed of the jail cell, hugging his stomach, head between his pulled-up knees. "Why...?" He remembered the event as if it had just happened yesterday, when in reality, it occured just about a year ago.
BOOM! The sound echoed through his head, chiming off every corner of his mind he didn't even know was there. Soul's blurred vision began to clear, when he noticed the pistol aimed at his direction. 'Where'd Maka go?' He thought to himself. A light weight fell on his chest, but he was so dazed, it knocked him to the ground.
"What the?" The albino looked down, only to see the wide olive eyes of his lover. Her lips were slightly parted and a crimson liquid was splattered on her left peachy-cream cheek. "M-Maka..

"Damn, damn, damn..." I muttered to myself. Sitting in front of me was a sheet of manuscript, pencil in hand, ready to write some music. Problem is, "how do I explain it...?"
"Soul?" Maka poked in from my bedroom door. "I heard you talking to someone."
"No, just myself..." I sighed and leaned back into my chair. "Dammit..."
The olive-eyed girl sauntered over, curiosity filling her heart. "What's up? You having trouble with homework?"
Before she could take a peek at it, I tore it away from her view. "It's nothing. You can go now. Poking around isn't cool."
She grunted and glared at me. "Fine then." Her finger formed into a shape which released a flick upon my earlobe. "I was just trying to help

"The last few weeks I have had Stein looking into the Medusa's possible whereabouts. We have successfully narrowed it down to one region in Central Mexico." Shinigami-Sama addressed a small group in the Death Room. So far the rescue team consisted of Soul, Kidd, Liz, Patti, and Stein. The other members of Spartoi were on another mission for the time being. Black*Star and Tsubaki had also been summoned but were fashionably late as always. Assuming that they would catch up when they arrived and since even if Black*Star were present he wouldn't be paying attention anyway Shinigami-Sama had begun the briefing.
The team had not assembled quickly enough for Soul. He had gone straight to the Death Room from the alley where Maka had been taken and arrived a little after midnight. The rest of the group, however, had not gathered until at least 8 the following morning, leaving Soul to pace the Death Room like a caged animal until the others finally arrived.
"Now that they have Maka, they w
SoulxMaka Fanfic - The BreakupMaka quietly hummed to herself as she walked towards her apartment building carrying a few bags of groceries. She needed a few ingredients for her special Friday night dinner that she always made for Soul. It was always something different and she enjoyed watching Soul enjoy the meal.More Like This
She smiled to herself when she imagined him looking up to her after the meal with one of his big, toothy, crooked smiles; telling her he loved her and the food was the best he'd had yet, then whisking her away to their bedroom.
Maka picked up her pace a little, not wanting to wait anymore to see her five-year boyfriend who was 20 years old and was the most irresistible thing to her in all of Death City. She loved him. When she was with him she was at her happiest and couldn't imagine a better time.
Maka then made it to her apartment door, turning the knob and opening the door swiftly as she stepped into the room and started to call "Sou-"
She stopped dead in her tracks. She saw Soul jump up from lying dow

"Maka please talk to me." Soul continued to beg.
"No! This is your fault!" Maka tried to hide the tears falling down her cheeks from Soul.
"My fault?... Ugh. Maka, just please stop fighting with me."
Maka wiped the tears from her eyes and looked to her friend, he seemed just as tired, if not more tired then she was.
"Just please come here, it's getting dark." He motioned to the 'shelter' he made for them.
Lord Death had sent the two on a mission after a man who's soul had turned into a kishin egg, but unfortunately, neither of them clued in to where they were, so they were lost, and they lost their target. Maka blamed it on Soul since she was the one running, which lead them to a fight. While she was off crying, Soul tried to make a shelter for them to use since it was almost dark, but Maka was being stubborn and wouldn't get in it.

Thunder"It's raining." Maka thought to herself looking over at the ticking clock on her nightstand. "Almost 3:00 a.m." She sighed to herself. "I'm not afraid of the rain... but the thunder..." The rain started pouring harder. Maka sat up in bed. "Soul..." She whispered to herself. BOOM~! "Eeep! Thunder!" Maka squeezed her pillow as tight as she could and then jumped out of bed.More Like This
"SOUL!" She yelled as she slammed his bedroom door open. Soul opened one eye and growled. "What is it, Maka?" He yawned sitting up. Maka stood in the doorway whimpering with her hands covering her mouth. Soul sighed and looked the other way blushing a bit. "Fine. You can sleep in here tonight. Pfft. Storms." BOOM~! Another crash of thunder hit. Soul and Maka both stared at each other, the girl trembling.
"NYAAAAAAAAGH!" She ran over to Soul and hugged his waist tightly. "Oi." Soul rolled his eyes and then began to laugh. "Why are you laughing?" Maka asked glaring up at Soul, a bit embarrassed by how she had just acted.
Sick DaysSoul drowsily opened his eyes and looked at the clock. It was early afternoon. Sunlight shone through his window angled straight at his bed. He groaned and tried to block it out.More Like This
His head was killing him and he felt dizzy and tired. He had no idea where Maka was, but vaguely recalled her telling him she was going shopping with Tsubaki.
He shook his head. He would never understand girls and shopping. Soul was the only one who saw her real clothes. He didn't understand why she bought so much of something no one ever saw.
Groaning, he rolled out of bed and clutched a chair while he waited for the world to stop spinning. It didn't. He stumbled through the hallway and into the kitchen and poured a glass of water. Remembering Maka's advice from last time he was sick, he sipped the water a little at a time. His throat still felt dry.
He leaned on the counter for a moment and realized he had nothing to do. He didn't feel like going anywhere, he didn't want to talk to anyone, and he certainly d
The ApprovalIt was a Saturday when Maka got the call. She was cooking dinner while Soul was sitting on the couch watching TV. Maka turned her head towards the table where her cell phone was vibrating its way off the table. Before it could fall, she grabbed the device. Almost unwillingly she looked at the caller ID. Her eyes widened. "It's mom!" She yelled at the top of her lungs. Trembling with excitement, she flipped opened her phone and pressed the answer button.More Like This
"H-hello?" Maka managed to get out while Soul walked into the kitchen. "Maka? Maka! How have you been? Are you okay? How's the academy? Do you have good grades? Are you the top of your class? Maka answer me!" Maka smiled at the sound of her worried mother's voice.
"I'm fine mama. The academy is great and I'm at the top of my class."
"That's my girl! I know I haven't talked to you ever since you just entered the academy, and I apologize for that. I've been traveling a lot lately and I've finally settled down. But I suppose you got my pos
