A knock on the door. Twilight looked up from her book, got to her hooves and walked over to it. Opening it she was greeted by the most nervous pegasus she had ever witnessed. "Uhm, hi, Rainbow."
Dash turned her head towards her as if surprised by Twilight's sudden appearance. "Oh, er, hi Twilight." Twilight raised her eyebrow as she noticed Dash staring at her mouth of all things and biting her own lip as if being in a mental struggle over whether or not to do something.
However, no action came from her friend. After a while Twilight realized that nothing was likely to happen and decided to invite Dash inside. "Do you want to come in?"
Dash did not move her eyes and merely gave her a "mhm" and a barely noticeable nod.
Twilight stepped back and gave her friend some space to step inside and closed

The threaded needle danced through the fabric with the grant of magic, gliding with precision only possible with years of practice. Rarity knew she could just as easily use her trusted sewing machine, but for a project as important as this, she would settle for nothing less than absolute perfection. Having traced the layers of cloth around the torso of the mannequin, she gave it one last tug, drawing the garment-in-design together.
She stepped back, looking over her work. The upper portion of the dress was coming along well. Deep, dark blue cloth fit snug to the mannequin, frilled slightly over the shoulders to accentuate the wearer's form. Silver piping graced the curves of whichever lucky pony wore the dress even more, drawing the eye from shoulder to hip. It was far from complete, still lacking the flowing

A light blue blur with colorful streaks flowing out from behind it fell from the sky. The speed of the fall appeared to be too fast for what was safe, and the form was speeding towards the ground at an alarming rate. Staring at the blurred, falling form, a certain earth pony couldn't help but feel a twinge of pure terror. Even as she watched the rainbow-colored comet streak towards the ground a ways in front of her she could see what was to happen. She knew full well in her heart what was bound to happen, she would be too late, she could never reach that spot in time. She couldn't help but feel the jerk in her stomach as she watched her friend plummet towards the ground in front of her. Time had seemed to slow down, her hooves hit the surface beneath her, propelling her towards the spot where the blur seemed to be about to hit.
