The attack on the offices of "Charlie Hebdo" earlier this week was abhorrent and enraging. Regardless of the content of the work they produced, the cartoonists who worked there stood up for free speech and paid with their lives. I wish I could say that I'd look death in the eyes for such a principle. I just don't know. I'm not sure other people would do the same. But, damn, I hope so.
It's the kind of bravery where you're willing to die for what you believe in. You may not live to see the next day, the next second, or your family or friends ever again. And all for a principle.
