It was a time of peace in Asgard, and what better thing in peace is there to do than celebrate for the abundance of life that has been given, defended, and flourished? This grand celebration was in honor of Thor, who had, with the help of Lady Sif and the Warriors Three, brought down a rogue rebellion in Muspelheim. The people of Asgard held Thor in the highest esteem possible. Not only was he a powerful, relentless king but he was a kind and merciful one as well.
Celebrations in Asgard were hardly taken lightly. Mead poured freely from each tavern as the people united in laughter, cheers, and complete merriment. Feasts were held from the middle of the day and well into the night, and it seemed that nothing was held back. And though everyone in Asgard was overjoyed in celebration over their marvelous king, there was one in the palace that was not in quite a celebrating mood – Loki Laufeyson. So what if Thor had dealt with a few troublesome rebels? Was

~THERE IS ALWAYS RISK~
The next morning seemed slow in coming, but for once, you found it to be a good thing. A long night of rest was exactly what you had needed after returning to Asgard, and being with Loki was just the cherry on top. It was a beautiful and calm day in Asgard, and even though there was a part of you eager to get going, most of you was content to let the day start of slow and just wait to see how things played out. Loki didn’t seem jumping to get going either, which was sort of understandable. With the visible level of discomfort he’d had in Nidavellir, aside from the Marauders and that troublesome time, you couldn’t blame Loki for not being ready to leave Asgard just yet. For all the issues he had (or at least claimed to

~UNTIL THE MORNING~
While Loki was off searching in the Hall of Knowledge, you returned to Loki’s chambers to change out of your “traveling” clothes and into the black dress that you had. Made of a soft, velvety material, it was certainly one of the most comfortable dresses that you had. You took your time and enjoying being in a place that made you feel so safe. There were no Marauders here, aside from those locked away in the dungeon, and the sheer amount of protection around the palace took away any fear that you had of being in imminent danger. Even though you’d been gone from here for only a little over a day, it felt as though it had been much longer.
After splashing a bit of cool water on your face and

You and Loki sat at the head of the table near the All-Father and Frigga. Thor and Jane sat closet to them, with you situated in between Loki and Thor… across from Fandral. His cheek was bright red and slowly fading, he avoided eye contact with you whereas Sif had a worried smile in her eyes when you saw her.
Loki remained silent, either too worried about saying something upsetting or too aware of the danger of being outspoken. You had little to say and left with Loki shortly after Frigga and the All-Father did, not wanting to leave sooner in fear of offending them.
Back in the room you recited the spell to change into something less formal, such as your sweatpants and tank top. Throwing yourself on the bed you scream into a pillow, “That was so awkward!”
Loki walks over and sits down beside you, “Are you alright?”
You roll over, “Sorry… stress is a killer.”
He sighs and gently props you up, sitting be

Chapter One: First Impressions Are Everything
“Where are they? What is taking so long?!”
The angrily shouted questions echoed throughout the almost empty throne room. The guards all shifted nervously, as did Bastien – the older man standing at the bottom of the stairs that led up to the throne. He had brought word that the awaited guests hadn’t yet arrived, which was already much later than they were anticipated, and now stood silently with his head bowed and his eyes cast down at his feet.
“I am unsure, Your Majesty,” he said some moments later. Bastien was afraid to speak but knew there would be consequences if he didn’t answer. An agitated growl could be heard from the King. The servant and messenger lifted his gaze, finding that the King was scowling and tightly gripping the spear, Gungnir, which he held in his right hand. It was obvious that their King was absolutely furious.
“I am sure they will
