A friend of mine finally had some time off of work and decided to drive up from Denver to hang out. We had a great time long boarding around town and getting a couple of beers, but once the afternoon was over, we headed up to the Cherokee State Wildlife Area.

There is a plateau I have been wanting to climb up for some time now and I knew there would be a terrific view, especially with the wildflowers popping up. Even though we were destroyed by the mosquitoes, we still had great light and a good visit. Definitely a new favorite on the property.

I was lucky enough to make a trip up to the paria plateau with a few other photographers to photograph some passing storms. This was a location I had dreamed of photographing for a few years now and could barely contain my excitement on the drive in. Unless you know of this place, it's best to keep it relatively to yourself. After miles of 4x4 sand roads, you see a massive mound of sandstone signaling the arrival of the location. The light was beginning to break through the clouds and we witnessed some heavenly light at sunset. The following morning, myself and another photographer headed out in the dark to try some night photography. The skies here are some of the darkest I've ever seen, which doesn't surprise me with how remote it is here. After the stars disappeared a storm front moved in and provided us with some very dramatic skies before and after sunrise. I was attracted to the sandstone patterns here as the colors between the sky and landscape yielded some great photographic opportunities. I felt like a kid in a candy store. Every little corner of the stone offers fantastic photography. I was happy to have finally visited this location, and plan to return over the summer for some more dramatic weather.

This kind of sunsets happen rarely. But when they happen they are spectacular in reality. I'm just trying to bring the moment from my memory through this photograph to be as close as possible to what I've experienced that evening! Nature never ceases to amaze me.

Autumn is an amazing season to enjoy mountains hikes : gold and red colors, snow caped mountains peaks, and only a few people around. Here it's a view taken close to the Col de la Ponsonnière in Savoie where I was the only one around.

Extra commission for :iconayumayuki: of her OC Sloth. I thought my lazy painting style would fit this one but forgive the messiness /) v (\"
For Sloth I used more dull colors and had to kill my usual sense of high contrasted tones. I hope it worked to bring the "boring feel".
The shadow casted over his body is Lily who just found him slacking off. There is a bed behind him but he is too lazy and sleeps on the ground instead :iconmingplz:
I hope you like this and thanks for commissioning me! Next are Pride, Wrath and maybe Gluttony too.

Important note about commissions and other questions:
Please check the status on profile if they are open or not. Every time I post something my inbox gets spammed with questions. Read my stuff and I will read yours too :iconedmadplz:
Commissions are closed atm and I'm trying to finish everything on my to do list before accepting new tasks now. Regular commissions will be open early summer 2015 (no exact date yet).
They only open up 1 or 2 times a year because I'm a busy person, so grab a slot when you can. There is no waitlist. Price list and samples will be updated when the time comes.
Thank you for your interest and patience!

Image created for the cover of 3Dworld #176. I was asked to create a 'stone head in a jungle' for a landscape themed issue. I started with some sketches for approval, then created the image using Maya, Mental Ray, ZBrush, Onyx, SpeedTree and Photoshop. Was a lot of fun to do, and I was of course honored to be asked!

A pair of steampunk horns I made this summer!
I found these copper/brass teapot spouts at a flea market and had to buy them because they were so pretty! Love
Had them for a while just laying around before I one day needed some kind of headgear for an event, and I decided to make them into a pair of horns.
So a pretty simple way to make some cool steampunk horns: a pair of old copper or brass teapot spouts, some brass studs, leather, an old piece of metal work (don’t know what that thing’s called!) and some springs.
They are sewn attached to the wig.

Thanks for looking! I am a dummy!

EDIT:
Oooohhh my, didn't expect this one! Thank you sooo much :iconmaytel: and :iconbrookette: for making this a DD! :excited: I love deviantART!
And thank you to everyone who comments, favs, watch and throw lamas at me! :D All of it is appreciated sooo much

Hi!

I'm finally back, this is a new work from me, it's a new Maserati concept, but still with some lines left from grand turismo, this is more aggressive version, like i usually do.

Mods: whole new design, new bodylines and bodykit,
Lots of brushing, taking a background as a reference( very low quality), so it is lots of rebrushing involved, with some copy pasting, bits of rims and interior are rebrushed, because of low quality.

So major idea was to make a new look for Maserati, a bit more modern and extreme, hopefully i achieved that.

Don't forget to C/C!

I decided to make a Rally car, so i choosed Subaru impreza to do it.

Work: It's a mixture of brushing, rebrushing, copy pasting, tweaking, to make it as whole. I had to change perspecitve a litle bit.

This is probably the most photograph sandstone structure inside Lower Antelope Canyon. It is definitely the same angle as others. But because of the beauty of sandstone I couldn't resist to capture one for my own. This was done by HDR merging of 7 bracketing shots covering 6-stop exposures.

I recently spent a few nights up on the North Rim of the grand canyon. It was a much needed getaway, and despite less than ideal conditions, I was able to come away with this single image from Point Imperial. There were lots of light shafts breaking through the clouds with a few brief sprinkles of rain, and even a rainbow emerged for a very brief moment.

This is from a few weeks ago after revisiting the Kofa mountains. Arrived to clear skies and a hot sun that instantly gave me a good sunburn. Scouting for hours to find the perfect sunrise composition the following morning, I sorta realized something. I really don't scout the shots I am looking for. I just seem to stumble upon them, or they find me. On occasion, I stake my claim at a spot and hope that something happens. As day fell to night and sleeping in the back of my SUV uncomfortably because of the sunburn, I awoke in the early morning and got my buddy to wake up just in time. An hour or so until sunrise which gave some time to scout in the near dark navigating through teddy bear cholla and other vicious cacti. I never seem to have a problem with them, I just like to think they want a free ride to wherever I am going. Finally find a nice vantage (I think) and wait. Wait some more, and second guess if this is the right composition. I stay put, and keep firing away as the light begins to emerge and lights up the thin clouds above the peaks. Then the peaks begin to glow, then the sun shows itself. Ended up blending five exposures together here to get all the elements that I found interesting in the scene. I'll have to wait until next year to find my wildflowers here, but I am sure I will be back again in the near future to explore even more areas throughout the range.
